Maria Guerrero

Maria Guerrero is a native of Michoacán, Mexico. She came to the United States at an early age and has lived in North Carolina since the early 90s. She graduated from NC Wesleyan University where she received a degree in Psychology and Business Administration. Maria has been an advocate in her personal life and dedicated her career to helping the underserved communities by working in various nonprofits. Prior to joining Episcopal Farmworker Ministry, she worked at Legal Aid of NC as a Human Trafficking Initiative Paralegal.

In her current role as Immigration Program Manager, she works directly with clients in a variety of immigration cases. She is also involved in community education and advocating for an Integral Immigration System. She is passionate about her work in assisting the most vulnerable and improving the living and working conditions of agricultural workers in North Carolina.
