Daniel Robayo


Father Daniel Robayo serves as Missioner for Latino/Hispanic Ministries of the Diocese of North Carolina. Before that, he served in parishes of the Diocese of Virginia, where Bishop Peter James Lee ordained him deacon (1987) and priest (1988). He was rector of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Harrisonburg from 2009 until Bishop Sam Rodman and Bishop Anne Hodges-Copple called him in the summer of 2018 to serve in North Carolina. He resides in Raleigh with his beloved wife Nancy Urrecheaga-Robayo. They have 5 children and 6 grandchildren. Born in Venezuela, Padre Daniel has lived in the US since age 16. Besides his vocation for ministry, he has a passion for community organizing focused on issues affecting Latino communities. He loves singing, reading, and riding his motorcycle.
