Prayer for Farmworkers and Workers at Meat Processing Plants

November 10, 2020 by Lariza Garzon Leave a Comment

For farmworkers and all who labor in the production of food (Honoring those who died)

Almighty God, you created us in your own image, making of one blood all the peoples of the earth: Grant us grace fearlessly to contend against evil and to make no peace with oppression; grant us also grace humbly to honor, respect, and love one another even in the midst of profound disagreements. And, that we may reverently use our freedom, help us to employ it in the maintenance of justice in our communities and among the nations. We especially lift up to you the dignity, health and wellbeing of all who work in agriculture and in the production of the food that we enjoy. Bless them and their families during these difficult times of pandemic and discrimination. Turn the hearts of those who make decisions that affect their wellbeing, that they may honor their duty and responsibility to ensure the health and safety of all workers. This we ask in your most Holy Name. Amen.
